Internship Power BI Information & Support Services

Ready to turn business questions into smart dashboards and actionable insights? During this internship at Van Oord, you will work on Power BI solutions that help colleagues across the organisation make better decisions. You will translate reporting needs into clear visualisations, support data-driven improvements and contribute to insights with real business value.

The position

Within Finance & Control, you will join the Information & Support Services team, specifically the Business Analysis & Data Services team. This team is responsible for capturing end-user requirements and translating business needs into data-driven solutions, including Master Data Management, BI reporting, insights and process automation.

As a Power BI intern, your focus will be on the reporting and visualisation side. You will help build and improve dashboards, support Power BI pipelines and data models, and work with colleagues to understand their information needs. In this way, you will contribute to solutions that make data more accessible, useful and actionable across Van Oord.

Your impact

During your internship, you will contribute to projects and daily activities such as:

• Supporting the translation of end-user requirements into Power BI dashboards and reports
• Helping build and improve Power BI pipelines, data models and visualisations
• Contributing to BI reporting, management insights and data-driven decision making
• Working with colleagues to understand information needs and translate them into practical solutions
• Supporting continuous improvement through better reporting, data quality and process automation

You will gain hands on experience in an international environment where business needs, data and technology come together. Together with your team, you will help translate information needs into dashboards and insights that support colleagues across the organisation.

About you

You are curious, analytical and eager to learn how data and technology can improve systems, processes and decision making.

• You are currently studying Information Management, Business IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
• You are available for an internship starting in September 2026
• You have experience with Power BI, data modelling and dashboard development
• You enjoy working with systems, data flows and turning data into insights
• You communicate confidently in English, both spoken and written
• You live and study in the Netherlands
