At Lepaya, you’ll be the main HR partner for the business, supporting around 80 employees across all functions.

You’ll do more than support managers; you’ll help shape the people and organizational decisions that enable Lepaya to achieve its ambitions. By translating business priorities into workforce plans, team structures, and talent strategies, you’ll ensure the right people, capabilities, and ways of working are in place to succeed. You’ll stay close to the business, understanding both current challenges and future needs, while helping leaders make thoughtful decisions on growth, performance, development, and organizational change.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Organizational Development

  • Develop and co-execute a clear workforce strategy to ensure teams stay aligned with business needs
  • Partner with leaders on team effectiveness, performance, engagement, and organizational design
  • Translate business goals into people priorities and workforce plans
  • Coach managers on leadership, performance, and team development
  • Help teams and individuals navigate changes in strategy, structure, or leadership with clarity and empathy
  • Support managers in preparing and delivering change communications, while offering employees a steady, honest point of contact
  • Share insights from your teams and contribute to broader People projects like engagement follow-up, development programs, and org-wide improvements

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Lead complex employee relations cases, including performance concerns, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts
  • Partner with managers to address people challenges in a timely and effective way
  • Manage investigations and ensure compliant case handling and documentation
  • Work closely with external legal counsel when needed

People Processes

  • Drive key people processes, including performance reviews, salary reviews, promotions, commission plan, and other talent discussions
  • Identify development opportunities and support employee growth
  • Ensure consistency and fairness across people practices and policies
  • Work closely with the broader People team: Talent Manager, People Ops, and Head of People, to ensure a seamless experience across the employee lifecycle

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years of experience in HR Business Partnering or a similar senior People role
  • Strong experience managing complex employee relations and performance cases
  • Solid understanding of Dutch employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience working with external legal counsel on employment matters
  • Comfortable operating as a standalone HRBP in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is strongly preferred
