Job opportunity description

The current vacancy is with Unit ‘Built Environment’ of the Directorate for Societal Resilience and Security. The Directorate works on science for policy challenges in space, security and migration. The mission of the Unit is to contribute to better EU regulation, competitiveness and innovation to enhance resilience of the built environment.

The jobholder will contribute to the development and implementation of scientific projects supporting the green and digital transformation of the built environment and construction ecosystem, with a particular focus on AI-driven and data-enabled solutions in construction, including applications in robotic and automated systems, optimised structural design, circular construction, performance-based and resilient retrofitting and rapid reconstruction in areas affected by disasters or conflicts.
