Lawful and unlawful profiling, police stops, predictive policing and community impact

The aim of this webinar is to improve the way police stops and searches are conducted, and the way profiling is done while ensuring that individual rights are respected, and community impact is understood and addressed.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Describe how police stops and searches as well as profiling shall be done whilst respecting human rights;
• Explain how unlawful profiling can affect an individual’s rights, policed communities and society as a whole;
• Understand the fundamental rights’ risks, notably in relation to racial discrimination, associated to the use of predictive policing software and other forms of profiling;
• Apply constructive engagement and relationships - building with civil society organisations.
