Internship Technical Writer / Process Modeller

As a Technical Writer / Process Modeller intern, you’ll translate complex IT processes into clear, accessible documentation and help everyone in our organisation understand and use our digital systems with confidence.

The position

Van Oord’s IT Digital Technology department is responsible for our entire IT infrastructure, networking, and core service platforms. This means we manage systems that connect our people and projects around the world. You’ll become part of a close-knit and supportive team that takes pride in making technology understandable, reliable, and future-ready.

Your impact

Your main challenge is to model and document IT processes in a way that makes them easy to follow, even for non-technical colleagues. You’ll learn how enterprise-scale IT operates, while sharpening your analytical and communication skills. Whether you’re aiming for a future as a software engineer or an IT leader, this experience will help you understand what it takes to run technology on a scale.

About you

You are curious, structured and ready to take ownership of your work.

• You are studying Business Process Management or Business Information Systems
• You are communicative and have a proactive attitude
• You will model IT processes in BPM tooling and prepare supporting documentation in Word
• You will publish and maintain these processes in our management system
• You work well with a team that values clarity, creativity and teamwork
