You play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, safeguarding revenue, and identifying growth opportunities, while working closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Project Management, and Technical Experts. You contribute to a data-driven, customer-centric sales organization, where CRM discipline, proactive communication, and account monitoring are essential.

While the role is primarily office-based, you may occasionally support events or customer engagement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare, send, and follow up on quotations, proposals, and service offerings.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify evolving needs.
  • Manage and update contracts, NDAs, and MSAs for your assigned accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, including opportunities, activities, and follow-ups.
  • Track and manage leads and opportunities within your portfolio, ensuring timely progression.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Project Management, and Technical teams to gather input and ensure smooth execution of customer requests.
  • Monitor account performance, including revenue trends, activity levels, and customer behavior.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your existing customer base.
  • Flag risks, delays, or changes in customer activity to the Business Development Director.
  • Contribute to internal reporting by providing regular updates on activities, pipeline, and account status.
  • Support a structured and data-driven way of working within the commercial team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a commercial, customer-facing, or inside sales role.
  • Affinity with the pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, or laboratory services environment is a strong advantage.
  • Basic understanding of, or strong interest in, GMP regulations and analytical testing services.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and accounts simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and discipline in CRM and administrative processes.
  • Proactive, customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written); Dutch is preferred.
