This role sits at the heart of the Global DEPT® brand team in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. We’re responsible for shaping how the DEPT® brand shows up across every touchpoint — from global campaigns and social content to events, thought leadership, internal communications, and everything in between.

We’re looking for a Junior / Midweight Brand Designer with strong creative instincts, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for building bold, modern brand experiences. Someone who can translate ideas into impactful visuals, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is excited to help evolve one of the most ambitious digital agency brands in the world.

JOB PURPOSE

As a Junior / Midweight Brand Designer, you’ll play an important role in the visual development and day-to-day execution of the DEPT® brand. You’ll work closely with our wider marketing and creative teams to design assets across digital, social, motion, editorial, presentation, event, and campaign touchpoints.

You’re confident working within established brand systems while also pushing for fresh, creative ideas that help evolve the brand. You care about craft, understand digital culture, and know how to create work that feels thoughtful, bold, and engaging.

You’ll collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketers, stakeholders, and external partners across multiple projects and timelines — bringing creativity, consistency, and energy into everything you do.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Create compelling visual assets across social media, campaigns, presentations, events, editorial content, internal communications, and digital platforms.
  • Help evolve and maintain the DEPT® visual identity across global touch points and work within our brand system.
  • Translate creative concepts into clear, high-quality design executions.
  • Work across both static and motion design deliverables, depending on project needs.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorms, campaign concepts, and design explorations.
  • Prepare files and assets for digital, print, and production purposes.
  • Help maintain and organize templates, design systems, and shared creative resources.
  • Stay up to date with design, motion, AI, culture, and digital trends — bringing new ideas and inspiration into the team.
  • Present work clearly and confidently, while being open to feedback and iteration.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 1–4 years of experience in a brand, agency, or in-house creative environment.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing branding, digital design, social, and campaign work.
  • A sharp eye for typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Confidence working across Adobe Creative Suite (mandatory), Figma and Google Workspace.
  • Motion design skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar) are a strong plus.
  • Experience designing for digital-first brands and social platforms.
  • Strong plus if experienced in delivering print assets and preparing designs for physical production.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • A proactive mindset with eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow.
  • Curious about emerging creative technologies and actively experimenting with AI tools within the design process.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving creative environment.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Based in the Netherlands and available to work from our Amsterdam or Rotterdam office at least 2 days per week.
