This webinar aims to present effective programmes and strategies to law enforcement officials for disengaging individuals from violence, with a focus on rehabilitation and the prevention of recidivism through collaboration with community and governmental resources.

This webinar is implemented by the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Counter-terrorism.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • Highlight the role of the EU Knowledge Hub in preventing youth-driven radicalisation;
  • Identify various types of disengagement programmes and the key components of successful initiatives;
  • Recognise the importance of collaborative approaches to disengagement involving law enforcement, community organisations, mental health professionals, and educators;
  • Share challenges, lessons learned, and best practices drawn from successful case studies.

Target audience

  • Counter-terrorism investigators: intelligence, prison, and frontline officers involved in counter-radicalisation and disengagement programmes.
  • Counter-terrorism professionals and practitioners supporting rehabilitation and disengagement efforts, including deradicalisation work within prison and probation systems.
