The European Central Bank is seeking a Climate Scientist to join the Climate Change Centre (CCC) within the Counsel to the Executive Board.
Your team
In your role as Climate Scientist, you will be part of the Climate Change Centre (CCC). The CCC is responsible for shaping and steering the ECB’s climate and nature agenda both within and outside our organisation, building on the expertise of different teams working on these topics within the ECB. The CCC is located within the Counsel to the Executive Board and reports directly to the President, who oversees the ECB’s work on climate change and nature-related economic impacts and risks.
You will bring your expertise in climate and nature-related risk to key policy choices and analytical work regarding the ECB’s approach to climate change, biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation and their macro-financial implications.

The contract offered will be fixed-term, the appointment being for three years as of the exact starting date of the selected person.
Temporary appointments may be extended or made permanent subject to organisational needs and budgetary constraints. This may result in a staff member with a non-convertible fixed-term contract being offered a convertible contract in accordance with the ECB Conditions of Employment.
