HR Business Partner T&E

The position

As an HR Business Partner for the Technology & Engineering (T&E) department, you play a key role in strengthening a global team of 650+ professionals—the technical backbone of the organisation. From tender to project completion, this department ensures engineering excellence, combining deep expertise with strong integration capabilities.

In this role, you focus on organisational development, change management, and building strong teams, while safeguarding HR fundamentals. You collaborate closely with the HR Manager, business leaders, HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs), and HR Operations to drive the people and talent agenda.

You work on both strategic and operational HR topics such as leadership development, workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, and fostering a strong organisational culture. You take end-to-end ownership of your scope, including ensuring accurate and smooth HR administration.

Your impact

In this role, you act as a trusted advisor to managers and team leads within T&E, translating business strategy into impactful people initiatives. You drive and embed both the business and people strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals while strengthening leadership and team effectiveness.

You take the lead in shaping and executing HR and people plans, including the annual HR cycle, and contribute to key projects that support organisational growth and the development of technical expertise. By leveraging HR data and people analytics, you provide insights that enable better decision-making and sustainable outcomes.

You play a central role in organisational development, covering areas such as leadership development, coaching, workforce planning, team composition, and performance management.

Your workplace

Operating in a dynamic, international environment, you guide the business through change and help build resilient, future-proof teams. You promote the HR operating model and ensure strong collaboration with HR colleagues, Centres of Expertise, and HR Operations, enabling a consistent and high-quality employee experience across the organisation.

About you

You are a resilient, approachable, and business-oriented HR professional who combines strategic insight with a hands-on mentality. You understand complex organisational dynamics and know how to uncover the question behind the question.

You are confident in navigating change, comfortable with challenging conversations, and driven to deliver impactful solutions.

You bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • At least 8 years of HR experience in a complex, international (project-based) organisation
  • Strong experience working in a matrix organisation and influencing senior stakeholders
  • A proactive, solution-oriented and results-driven mindset
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution
  • Confidence to challenge constructively and drive change
  • Knowledge of Dutch labour law (preferred)
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken

We offer

  • Travel allowance (€0.31/km) and home office allowance (€2.40/day)
  • 32 days of annual leave
  • Variable bonus
  • Pension scheme
  • Optional collective health insurance
  • Flexible working: up to 2 days per week from home (full-time basis)
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities, including online courses
  • Access to internal communities and networks
  • A meaningful role contributing to the mission: building a better world for future generations
  • Regular social and sports events
