Are you fascinated by the financial sector and eager to explore the world of banking products and transaction data? Join the BI & Analytics Center of Expertise as a Data Analyst - Transaction Banking and become part of a team of young and highly motivated data professionals, empowered to use data for strategic, regulatory, operational, and tactical decision-making. If the idea of an autonomous team with the freedom to learn, grow, and make impact sounds exciting, this role offers that and more.

Working environment

We are the Product Data Practice department, part of the Data Domains of Accounts, Savings & Transactions, and Insurances (AST&I), currently being set up through the implementation of the bank’s federated data governance model. The AST&I Data Domains are within the Transaction Banking product unit, which covers a vast portfolio of products: accounts, payment cards, packages, savings, insurances, open banking APIs, trade finance, digital products like Apple Pay and Google Pay, and associated sales, business, and risk management processes. We contribute significantly to the revenue of the bank, manage different regulatory and operational topics, and contribute to Objectives and Key Results set for the Personal & Business Banking Client Unit, serving about 6 million Personal & Business Banking customers.

The Products Data Practice department is composed of two Centers of Expertise: 1) the BI & Analytics CoE (BI&A CoE), a team of data analysts responsible for BI, reporting, and data analytics, and 2) the Advanced Analytics & AI Center of Expertise (AA&AI CoE), a team of Data Scientists responsible for the portfolio of AA&AI use cases in line with the strategy of the AST&I Data Domains and the bank-wide AI Strategy. In addition, the Products Data Practice department is responsible for our cloud-based data and analytics platform with the Transaction Banking Domain Data Store (DDS).

The team’s vision is to stimulate an environment where data is vital to everything we do.

We apply analytics and emerging technologies to explore, research, and gather valuable insights; define, report, monitor, and improve performance for several product groups; advise them on new proposition designs and duty of care topics; predict and forecast trends of product usage; and help decide the course of action and priorities to achieve great customer satisfaction and vendor relations. We also act as change agents to embed a data-driven mindset at all levels of the organization, enabling teams to get the full potential of the data we have, thereby strengthening data maturity and literacy in the bank.

All our Data Analysts and Scientists have T-shaped profiles and, next to data analytics and data science, they can play different roles like Lead Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and Business Liaisons. The Products Data Practice is 25+ people strong, with 65% Analysts and Scientists and 35% Engineers and modelers, and consists of 7 nationalities based across the Netherlands and India. We follow agile principles and work on cross-grid and cross-functional initiatives while collaborating with other analytics teams, business experts, business developers, product owners, seniors, and leaders, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing. We have developed a culture where entrepreneurial spirit, empathy, fun, and celebrating successes are truly appreciated.
