As an Operational Fuel Purchaser, you are at the heart of global operations, securing the fuel that keeps vessels moving and projects alive. You act fast, think ahead and stay in control, even when timelines are tight. Your work directly supports projects that shape coastlines, build offshore energy and create a better world.

The position

As an Operational Fuel Purchaser, you manage the operational procurement and coordination of fuel for our fleet and projects worldwide. You are part of the Fueldesk team within our Procurement and Supply Chain department, where you ensure fuel is delivered on time, at the right location and at the right cost. You work closely with vessels, project teams and suppliers, keeping operations running smoothly in a fast moving environment. Alongside daily operations, you contribute to improvements in fuel sourcing and support our transition towards more sustainable alternatives.

Your impact

In this role, you make sure our vessels and projects have what they need to perform, every single day.

  • You procure fuel for vessels and projects, ensuring timely and cost effective delivery.
  • You coordinate with suppliers, vessels and internal stakeholders to align supply and demand.
  • You manage RFQs, orders and delivery follow up, keeping a clear overview at all times.
  • You handle administration and invoicing of fuel transactions with accuracy and care.
  • You support the use of biofuels and contribute to our decarbonisation ambitions.

Your workplace

You work at our headquarters in Rotterdam, together with an international team of colleagues in the Fueldesk. The atmosphere is open, supportive and focused on teamwork. Every day, you are in contact with vessel crews, technical superintendents and suppliers across the world. You switch easily between different stakeholders and time zones. Here, you get the trust and freedom to take ownership and make decisions that matter.

About you

You stay calm when the pressure rises and keep control in a fast moving environment. You take ownership, act quickly and think ahead. You enjoy being the point of contact and make sure things get done. With your service minded approach, you support vessels and projects across the world.

  • You have a completed HBO education or work and think at a similar level.
  • You have a good command of English, both spoken and written.
  • You are accurate in administration and confident in handling multiple priorities.
  • You are proactive and take initiative in solving issues and improving processes.

We offer

This is your chance to play a key role in keeping our global operations moving while contributing to a more sustainable future.

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience.
  • Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.45 per day).
