What you’ll do

  • Act as a key linking point between Finance, Commercial, Legal, Product, FP&A and other business teams by facilitating communication and coordination on revenue recognition and broader IFRS technical accounting topics.
  • Advise Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Legal teams on the revenue recognition, financial reporting and IFRS implications of customer contracts, contract modifications, renewals, terminations, commercial incentives and new product offerings.
  • Review and assess customer contracts under IFRS 15, including identification of performance obligations, contract modifications, variable consideration, termination rights, service credits, overages and non-standard commercial terms.
  • Support broader IFRS technical accounting assessments across Mambu, including areas such as IFRS 9 expected credit losses and receivables impairment, IFRS 16 leases, IFRS 2 share-based payments, IAS 36 impairment assessments, IAS 37 provisions and other relevant IFRS topics.
  • Prepare clear accounting position papers and technical memoranda for internal management, Audit Committee purposes and external auditors, covering both revenue recognition and wider IFRS accounting matters.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors on revenue recognition and IFRS technical accounting topics, including responding to audit queries, supporting audit evidence, explaining management judgements and aligning on accounting conclusions.
  • Work closely with auditors to resolve complex IFRS matters and ensure accounting positions are robust and well supported.
  • Manage revenue processes and controls across Mambu’s global operations, ensuring revenue is recognised accurately, completely and in line with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Ensure proper, accurate and complete data is used for Mambu’s IFRS financial statements, including revenue, receivables, contract assets / liabilities, provisions and other relevant accounting areas.
  • Analyse revenue data to identify trends, support strategic decision-making and provide insights into revenue growth, churn, contract performance and financial reporting impacts.
  • Manage contract data in the ERP system, including new contract setup, modifications, terminations, renewals and alignment between commercial agreements and accounting treatment.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on revenue forecasting and churn projections and financial statement impacts of commercial developments.
  • Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, documentation and reporting quality, with a focus on scalable finance operations in a global SaaS environment.
  • Coach and develop a team of 2 professionals located across different locations.

What you’ll bring

  • Eagerness to make a difference in a fast-growing, international SaaS / fintech environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; ACCA, CPA, RA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, audit or technical accounting roles.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge, with deep experience in IFRS 15 and IFRS 9, and good understanding of other standards such as IFRS 16, IFRS 2, IAS 36 and IAS 37.
  • Experience analysing customer contracts and applying IFRS in areas such as contract modifications, variable consideration, termination clauses and non-standard commercial terms.
  • Experience preparing accounting position papers and technical documentation.
  • Experience working with external auditors on revenue recognition and IFRS topics, including supporting accounting conclusions and judgements.
  • Big 4 experience in technical accounting or advisory is a strong plus; exposure to a Department of Professional Practice (DPP) or technical accounting consultation environment is considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on approach to technical accounting research and problem-solving.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), Excel and G-Suite.
  • Understanding of billing, collections and revenue operations processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to also understand the broader business context.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in fintech and/or SaaS is a plus.
