Internship: Data & Analytics

Within Damen, the Damen Data Services team is a professional provider of high-quality data driven solutions and services and the enabler for digital transformation. Damen Data Services' mission is to create business value by data for Damen Shipyards by innovating the digital collaboration between colleagues, yards, ships, customers, and suppliers.

The Damen Data Services team is driving the Data & Analytics journey to define, create and activate a ‘Human Led, Data Powered’ organization.

The role

The assignment focuses on assessing and growing the maturity of Data & Analytics capabilities. Within Damen, between 100 and 200 Data & Analytics professionals will be part of this assessment. Concretely, the assignment involves conducting the Gartner Data & Analytics Maturity assessment within the Damen organization, resulting in an action plan to grow the maturity level.

Key accountabilities

As an intern, you will:

• Be responsible for conducting the Gartner Data & Analytics Maturity assessment
• Analyze the assessment and present the results and your findings
• Validate a plan to grow in maturity level 2 towards the next levels in the upcoming years

Supervisory and support will be given by Bart Ziemerink, Head of Damen Data Services.

Skills & Experience

At least several skills/experiences from the following list are required to be considered:

• You are a Bachelor or Master student, with high affinity and knowledge about Data
• You are able to work at the Gorinchem location, at least 2 days a week
• You are available at the earliest convenience, for approximately 3 months
• Proficient in the Office package (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Good command of English (and preferably Dutch too)
