As a Beyond Beer Marketing Intern, you’ll support the development and growth of some of HEINEKEN’s most exciting non-beer and alternative beverages.

The internship

Our team is responsible for growing categories beyond traditional beer, recruiting new consumers, building distinctive brands and accelerating growth in fast-moving categories. As a Beyond Beer Segment Intern, you’ll be involved in a wide range of activities, including analytical tasks, internal communication support, and contributing to platform and portfolio execution. By working closely with the brand and insights teams to analyse market data, identify emerging trends, and help translate findings into actionable recommendations and execution.

This internship will give you a broad understanding of how a global organization shapes new categories and empowers local markets through innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation & Piloting Development

  • Support the development of innovation briefings through research, opportunity identification, and global benchmarking.
  • Assist in hands on incubation pilots, contributing to RTM analysis, digital and packaging adaptations, and launch coordination.
  • Contribute to pilot execution across experiential activations, digital communications, website development, PoS materials, sampling assets, and performance tracking.

Brand Management Support

  • Support brand teams with asset creation, toolkit development, and deployment across markets.
  • Provide operational support across end-to-end brand projects, spanning CMI, innovation, positioning, and communications.

Internal Engagement

  • Prepare and share monthly newsletters spotlighting key trends, innovations, and market movements across relevant categories.
  • Support market community calls and manage the Workplace communications calendar to drive internal engagement.

Monthly Performance Reporting

  • Analyse reports and market data to uncover category trends, consumer behaviours, and competitive dynamics within the Beyond Beer landscape.
  • Support brand and product performance tracking by delivering clear insights, summaries, and visualisations for internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to external category trend updates, covering new launches, campaigns, and the social landscape across Beyond Beer and wider FMCG.

Budget Management

  • Support budget tracking for pilot and brand initiatives, monitoring spends against plans and flagging variances.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  • You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
  • In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
  • In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  • You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  • You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do.

  • A full-time internship, starting on TBC, 2026.
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor).
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home.
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek.
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship).
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed.
