The internship

Come join the Social Sustainability team and contribute to our efforts in creating a positive impact.

Main responsibilities & projects

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the social sustainability value chain due diligence strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support due diligence programs and initiatives.
  • Gather insights to further inform decision making, including benchmarking and legal trend monitoring.
  • Help create communications and messaging on social sustainability topics.

The department

As an intern you'll be an integral part of the Global Social Sustainability team, which ensures that how HEINEKEN does business in its own operations and across its value chain respects people’s dignity and human rights.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in sustainability, social studies, human rights or any related field
  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects and individually
  • Exceptional team player and eager to learn
  • Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
  2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
  3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  4. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  5. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
