At KARL LAGERFELD, the Sustainability department is looking for an intern to support social and environmental data processes. The role focuses on collecting, processing, and analyzing supply chain data related to GHG emissions, labor rights, materials, and traceability to help drive sustainability improvements across the fashion industry.

The team is looking for someone who enjoys working with data and wants to learn more about sustainability from an expert team within the company.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to support the Sustainability department with social and environmental data processes. To create a positive impact on people and the environment, the fashion industry relies on good data processing. Supply chain data on GHG emissions, labor rights, and materials are necessary to create traceability and transparency and to analyze where the industry can make necessary changes to become more sustainable. Therefore, the KARL LAGERFELD sustainability team is looking for someone who is able to collect the necessary data, work with different data systems such as click sense and PLM, and chase suppliers to deliver data correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sustainability teams with data management processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and process data related to GHG emissions, environmental management tools, sustainable materials, and certifications.
  • Collect data from several data management platforms.
  • Analyze and visualize data for presentations and reports.
  • Work with suppliers to retrieve information on materials, subcontractors, compliance forms, and social and environmental audits.

Your profile

  • You are in the final stages of your (HBO) study in logistics, business, data analytics, or economic studies.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Great at working with Excel.
  • Interested in the fashion sector and/or sustainability.
  • Well organized and able to analyze data to support and direct the sustainability strategy.
  • You are a self-starter / entrepreneur at heart.
  • You are at ease in a small team that is being built and has moving processes and targets.

Internship requirements

  • Available for 4 months.
  • You must be enrolled for the full duration of your internship at your school or university.
  • Due to Dutch legislation, you must be in possession of EU nationality or study in the Netherlands.
