HEINEKEN is looking for a creative and proactive intern to strengthen internal communications and employee engagement within its Global Sustainable Production team.

HEINEKEN is committed to driving sustainability and operational excellence across its global breweries. In this internship, you will help build and maintain clear, engaging communication channels by creating high-quality digital content, managing key internal platforms such as SharePoint and Workvivo, and supporting the communication agenda of strategic sustainability programs like Race to Reduce. You will work closely with the team to simplify complex topics, improve how information is shared, and bring sustainability impact to life through strong storytelling.

The internship

  • Supporting internal communications, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.
  • Helping manage the communications calendar and maintaining key digital channels such as SharePoint and Workvivo, ensuring content is timely, structured, and easy to navigate.
  • Developing people-focused digital content, including visuals, short videos, and storytelling assets to showcase how Sustainable Production supports breweries in achieving sustainability goals.
  • Assisting in the creation of communication materials for presentations, reports, and community webinars, ensuring alignment with HEINEKEN’s visual identity and tone of voice.
  • Collaborating with Global Sustainable Production colleagues to ensure consistency, quality, and impact of communication outputs.

Focus areas where you will lead and propose improvements:

SharePoint – structure, usability, and content experience

  • Support the project to update and improve the team SharePoint by proposing a clearer structure, better navigation, and a more useful content experience for the audience.
  • Help create a well-structured SharePoint page that enables easy access to key content, organized by topic or area and aligned with how users search for information.
  • Bring ideas to make content more intuitive and easier to use.

Workvivo – engagement and communication rhythm

  • Support the Workvivo channel by planning and publishing content, keeping a consistent rhythm, and improving engagement through strong storytelling and visuals.
  • Create content formats that employees actually want to read and share.

Race to Reduce – storytelling and program communications

  • Support the Race to Reduce communications agenda across channels, including Workvivo, SharePoint, and dashboard updates.
  • Strengthen internal storytelling around Race to Reduce to inform, inspire, and encourage participation.
  • Help design a refreshed approach to sharing winner stories that drives motivation and participation.

The department

The Sustainable Production department, part of Global Production within Supply Chain, consists of a multidisciplinary team working on water and energy usage, decarbonization, wastewater management, and reporting. The team brings together professionals from different countries, expertise, and academic backgrounds with one common goal: making operations more sustainable.

During your internship

During your internship, you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. You will be given trust and freedom to work like a real entrepreneur, while receiving guidance that fits your needs. HEINEKEN embraces new, fresh ideas with enthusiasm and likes to bring the outside world inside.

The unique you!

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and comfortable with digital platforms such as SharePoint and Workvivo.
  • Experience with content creation tools and confidence using AI tools for content simplification and creation.
  • Bonus: familiarity with Power BI.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, organized, creative, and fluent in English.
