This opportunity is with the Unit Emerging Security Challenges of the Directorate for Societal Resilience and Security, specifically in the project BRICO (BRIdge gaps and COnnect the dots in emerging security challenges).

The Directorate works on science for policy challenges in space, security and migration and contributes to the political priorities of the Commission to improve societal resilience and security in a changing geopolitical context.

The Unit’s mission is to enhance societal resilience and security of the EU in view of emerging security challenges by analysing implications of geopolitical developments on security and other policy areas.

We propose a dynamic environment in which the jobholder will apply his/her expertise by identifying new policy and research needs in the fields of security and preparedness, using technology foresight and future-oriented technology analysis, as well as broader horizon scanning and foresight studies.
