Internship within the Product Safety team

Starting in September, we are offering a 4 to 6-month paid internship for a Bachelor student who is passionate about data analysis and dashboarding and eager to gain experience in a business context.

Your new job and workplace.

This internship is within the Product Safety team at Ahold Delhaize headquarters, an international retail organization. You will be in touch with colleagues worldwide and gather information on the effect of product safety culture on the cost of product safety, based on recent internal and external reports and other historical information. We are working on product safety culture, and this internship will create additional insights in this area. Although it is a hands-on internship, there may be a possibility of combining it with a study assignment or thesis, depending on your availability.

The assignment/key result areas:

• Set up a business case scenario for the effects of product safety culture, based on internal and external historical data.
• Perform an analysis to define the scope and architecture of such an approach.
• Provide insights into the outcomes of the business case scenario using data from our own operation’s product safety performance.
• Support the Product Safety team on a case-by-case project basis.

You bring this with you.

• You are a bachelor student in Food Commerce & Technology or another business administration-related study, preferably in the third or fourth year. Candidates who have already graduated and will not be enrolled in a university for the entire duration of the internship will not be considered for this role.
• Outstanding analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Flexible, proactive and independent.
• You must be based in The Netherlands and able to work from our head office in Zaandam at least 1 to 2 days per week.
• Available from August/September.

• Demonstrate versatility and flexibility and are willing and able to use different skills depending on the task at hand.
• Have a hands-on mentality.
• Have strong communication skills associated with working in an international environment, multi-cultural team and networks.
• Are eager to learn, both in terms of content and practical experience.
