This webinar aims to familiarise law enforcement professionals with the implications of emerging technologies such as 3D printing, drones, and artificial intelligence (AI), highlighting both the opportunities they offer for law enforcement and the potential threats they pose when misused by criminal or extremist actors.

This webinar is implemented by CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Counter-terrorism.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • Provide a comprehensive understanding of how 3D printing, drones, and AI are transforming the operational and threat landscape for law enforcement;
  • Identify risks and opportunities, allowing participants to recognise both the potential benefits of these technologies for law enforcement and the threats they pose when exploited by criminals;
  • Apply countermeasures and regulatory approaches effectively to mitigate risks associated with the misuse of these technologies;
  • Recognise ethical and legal implications of using these technologies in law enforcement, with a focus on maintaining public trust;
  • Discuss best practices, challenges and lessons learnt from case studies.

Target audience
