We are looking for an Application Services Coordinator with a big passion for application service and biscuits.

The Challenge

The Application Manager (AM) sits within the IT/IS team and is responsible for the correct working of applications within the pladis Europe application landscape. Currently approximately 10 individual applications and services are in scope. The AM is supported by the IT/IS team and acts as an expert in understanding the working of the applications and their interfaces. The AM can support user questions on all the aforementioned applications and interfaces and provides second line support. In some cases, the AM passes the calls on to third line support through an external partner. The AM will be responsible for maintaining the applications’ technical and functional documentation and maintaining, installing, updating, repairing or replacing these applications when required.

To be successful as an AM, you should gain a strong working knowledge of our applications’ behaviours and functionalities as well as become an expert in the functional aspects of the applications. Changes to the application landscape will be managed by the AM using proven project management skills. The AM will be linking with the business key users to execute changes, requests and resolve incidents.

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability of the application landscape through support of all relevant parameters and interfaces and ensure set-up is according to best practice standards
  • Pro-actively manage the applications by understanding their global working
  • Establish in-depth knowledge of application interfaces and configurations
  • Create maintenance plans and initiate required upgrades
  • Share knowledge with the IT/IS teams
  • Control delivery of projects and change requests
  • Ensure appropriate project governance is established and maintained
  • Involve third parties when next level support is required
  • Work location is Zaandam on site
