Are you a student of Educational Sciences or Learning & Development and do you want to make an impact in a complex organisation? Do you want to learn how strategic themes such as Business Process Management (BPM) are translated into effective learning solutions for professionals? Then this internship at ABN AMRO is for you. As an intern Learning & Development you will work on the further development of education about Business Process Management, from training courses and learning paths to short knowledge videos. You help make complex BPM concepts understandable, applicable and learnable for various roles in the organisation.

This internship offers you the opportunity to contribute to learning solutions around Business Process Management within ABN AMRO and to gain experience in translating strategic organisational themes into effective education for professionals.

Your job

Within the Center of Expertise Business Process Management (CoE BPM) you work at the intersection of content and learning. Among other things, you concern yourself with:

  • Translating BPM roles and responsibilities into concrete learning objectives and interventions;
  • Contributing to the further development of the BPM curriculum and role-specific learning paths;
  • Didactic improvement of existing training materials, including videos, presentations and online content;
  • Thinking along about how the BPM method can be explained in an understandable and applicable way;
  • Designing evaluations to measure how effective the learning solutions are.

You work closely with BPM experts, but your added value is mainly in how people learn. You are not expected to become a BPM content expert.

Your working environment

You will work in a small team of 6 people within the Business Process Management & Process Digitalization (BPM-PD) department. As a department, BPM-PD is building a simple and modular process landscape for the entire bank, which makes the stakeholder field large and complex. The team is responsible for the development of the methodology and way of working, including a fixed training offering. There is a permanent office day in Diemen, and the team also regularly comes together at other locations when the work requires it, for example to brainstorm.

Your profile

You are an enthusiastic and curious student who enjoys connecting theory and practice. In addition:

  • You are following a higher professional education or university programme in Educational Sciences, Learning & Development, or a comparable field;
  • You have an interest in learning in organisations and professional development;
  • You are able to structure complex information and make it understandable;
  • You work independently, but also actively seek alignment;
  • You enjoy working together with different disciplines across the organisation.

Experience with BPM is not required; curiosity, creativity and the willingness to grow are.

What we offer

  • A learning work placement or graduation internship within a field of expertise where many opportunities still lie;
  • The freedom to get the best out of yourself, work flexibly and have room to grow;
  • Support to stay fit and vital;
  • A monthly internship allowance of €750;
  • A personal laptop.
