Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain, mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate.

We are looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team in Amsterdam. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on marketing and communications experience in a growing impact company, while making a significant positive impact in the world of cocoa.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Communication: support the team on delivering various projects and campaigns to help increase Tony’s brand awareness in the Benelux region.
  • Social media: support the social media experts and the trade marketeer with executing the year plan.
  • Trade marketing: execute campaigns on the shop floor to increase visibility in-store, online, and in our Superstore.
  • Stakeholder management: support the marketing team by working with different stakeholders to increase visibility for the brand, both internally and externally.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Translate Tony's Open Chain activities into straightforward communication.
  • Develop communication materials for retail, e-commerce, and our own stores.
  • Communicate with the Chocofancare (customer service) team about how to make customers, aka choco fans, happy and engaged with our commitment.
  • Create and maintain communication about our broad flavor range and translate it to different sales channels.
  • Help improve the brand experience in the Superstore in the centre of Amsterdam and Schiphol by coming up with new communication materials.
  • Help create content for our social media channels by filming creative and impactful videos.

Job requirements:

  • You’re studying for a relevant HBO/university degree (such as communications, marketing, or business) and are looking to gain practical experience in a real work environment with a marketing and communications focus.
  • Raise the bar. Challenge yourself and team Tony’s to increase ambition and accomplish our mission. Make mistakes along the way and learn from them.
  • Believe wholeheartedly in Tony’s mission. You live our core values: Outspoken, In it together, Makes you smile, Entrepreneurial and Raise the bar.
  • Starting on September 1st, you'll be part of Tony's team for 6 months.
  • We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in our Amsterdam office on average 3 days a week. More is fine!
  • You’ll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a school for the duration of the internship.

Here's what you can expect from us:

You'll be part of an enthusiastic team of driven colleagues who share your love for Tony's and our commitment. We’re a fast-growing international company, and we believe in doing things differently.

As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Tony's Chocolonely. You'll be challenged to raise the bar and make a real impact in the world.

Our office in Amsterdam Houthavens is a pretty sweet workplace - you'll enjoy a fresh and tasty lunch, and plenty of snacks. We know how to work hard, but we also know how to have fun. And of course, you get to take home as much chocolate as you can carry.

Tony’s Chocolonely wants to make all chocolate 100% slave free. Not just our chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide. Not exactly the average company, right? Instead a chocolate company whose primary goal is to resolve a social issue in the world.
