Do you enjoy solving complex access and authorisation challenges that really matter? As a Functional IGA Specialist in Amsterdam, you make governance clearer, safer and easier to work with across Alliander. By connecting business and technology, you help build a future-proof authorisation model and directly contribute to a safer energy grid.

The energy transition needs you as Functional IGA Specialist

As a Functional IGA Specialist, you will help improve and future-proof Alliander’s authorisation model. You analyse role structures, identify risks and inconsistencies, and translate complex IAM insights into practical improvements that role owners can understand and apply. In this way, you help ensure that employees always have the right access rights: not too many, not too few.

Your role will involve:

  • Analysing the current authorisation model and identifying improvement opportunities based on risks, duplication, inconsistencies and organisational change.
  • Translating your findings into concrete improvement proposals for role owners and other stakeholders, balancing risk, usability and manageability.
  • Engaging with role owners, product teams and security to explain choices, support decision-making and build alignment.
  • Implementing improvements in roles, assignments, group structures and underlying logic, while monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Handling incidents and requests related to authorisations and ensuring that structural issues are resolved in a sustainable way.
  • Collaborating closely with the IAM process specialist, authorisation management colleagues, architects, solution leads and the service desk to make sure role changes are implemented successfully across the full chain.
  • Proactively exploring opportunities to improve the role structure together with the business, with a focus on least privilege, efficiency and user convenience.

You complete our network

Did you know that Alliander is made up of different business units? With our large group of talented professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of people and businesses in the Netherlands.

The RAM team is a close‑knit, multidisciplinary team consisting of eight experienced professionals, a Product Owner, and a Scrum Master. Together, we work in an agile environment on improving and future‑proofing our services. Within the team, there is plenty of room for collaboration, in‑depth expertise, and individual initiative. We combine craftsmanship with an open and collegial atmosphere, where knowledge sharing and supporting one another are key.

You energise our network

Contributing ideas about a smart and secure online environment. With your talent and strengths, you can do that at our company. Will you contribute with your critical perspective? We are looking in particular for a candidate with:

  • HBO/WO working and thinking level, combined with broad knowledge of Identity & Access Management.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) with different authorisation models, such as RBAC and ABAC, as well as role management, IAM principles and information security.
  • Strong analytical skills: you are able to recognise patterns, connections and risks in complex role structures, and you have a sharp eye for the context in which those patterns have developed and whether they should continue to exist.
  • Excellent communication skills: you know how to make complex topics understandable and bring stakeholders along with change.
  • Experience with SailPoint or a comparable IAM product, or the ambition to build this expertise further.
  • A proactive mindset and the drive to continuously improve in an agile working environment.
  • Strong command of English; Dutch is a major advantage.

Attractive salary and benefits package

  • a gross monthly salary of €4.580 to €7.585 (scale 9-10);
  • annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) or 12.8% (part time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. If you do not work full time, you are not entitled to ADV. You can have this budget paid out as extra salary or use it to purchase extra days off, for example. You choose the option that is right for you;
  • 24.5 days’ holiday per year, which can be topped up generously from your IKB;
  • an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December;
  • a sustainable employability (SE) budget of €700 per year. Choose a payment for a sport or hobby, to make your home more sustainable or to reduce your student loan debt with DUO, for example. You decide how your budget is spent;
  • the possibility of combining working in the office with working from home, if your position allows.
