Sales & Partner Enablement Senior Manager

Job Summary

Works with sales and partner stakeholders to understand field development requirements in the context of the skills, knowledge, processes, tools, best practices, and coaching required to execute the global sales strategy. Conducts in-depth discovery to understand field competencies, productivity, and related gaps and develops enablement recommendations in the form of an integrated enablement plan. Validates the plan with SMEs, socializes the plan with key stakeholders, aligns global requirements, and secures executive sponsorship. For all aspects of the enablement plan, manages program or tool design and execution, develops the content, conducts sales/partner focus groups to validate content, drives field adoption, and tracks and measures success.

Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering

  • Identifies enablement programs that are required to help the field execute against the global sales strategy
  • Engages field and business leaders to gather and prioritize detailed enablement requirements in order to determine enablement approach and objectives
  • Develops comprehensive enablement plans for key enablement programs and secures executive sponsorship across field leaders and business leaders
  • Calibrates and aligns divergent requirements as needed

Program Design and Content Development

  • Identifies the right approach and solicits field requirements and insights from target audience— via surveys, interviews, and focus groups— to drive program design and development
  • Identifies and engages sales & partner enablement management and leaders, as well as the right SMEs across the business, to recommend and design enablement programs and develop all of the content and resource components
  • Leverages information gained through requirements gathering to design and develop programs, and all of their components
  • Conducts pilots to gather field feedback and refine programs

Program & Project Management

  • Develops and maintains detailed program plans, proactively managing milestones, dependencies and timelines to ensure smooth execution
  • Defines and communicates program objectives, scope, execution plan, dependencies and resource requirements
  • Provides transparency, updates and tracking of program/project for executive sponsors
  • Consistently verifies and drives executive sponsor across field leaders and business leaders, specific to program plan

Enablement Production and/or Delivery

  • Determines the right enablement vehicles and technologies for production and/or delivery of enablement that will optimize target audience consumption and learning
  • Identifies and engages sales leaders and field champions to help drive enablement program and content adoption
  • Oversees all aspects of the rollout and execution of enablement programs
  • Conducts train-the-trainer sessions, as needed, to support launch readiness

Sales & Sales Management Coaching

  • Defines the role of sales management coaching in driving enablement program adoption
  • Develops the tools and resources to help sales & partner management coach their teams and executes train-the-trainer activities to prepare managers for coaching
  • Designs and delivers sales & partner management coaching skill development and best practice programs
  • Creates opportunities for sales & partner management to advocate enablement programs as coaches, providing key messages and consulting

Sales & Partner Communications

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive communications plan to promote enablement programs, leveraging breadth of communications and enablement platforms
  • Identifies and recommends new ways to communicate with the field, optimizing communication and enablement platform capabilities

Program Reporting

  • Defines, tracks and reports on key metrics that indicate enablement program adoption and impact, providing sales & partner leadership with results
  • Analyzes data and shares business insights/recommendations with field leaders and key business leaders, that can be used to inform or refine enablement approaches

Qualifications

  • Proven years experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required
