Ready to shape how colleagues across 40+ countries connect, collaborate and feel part of Kiwa? Join our Corporate Communication team and bring strategy to life through internal stories, smart intranet content and standout presentations. If you thrive on impact, variety and ownership, you might be the Internal Communication Specialist we are looking for!

Overview

The Corporate Communication team at Kiwa is responsible for global communication topics, working closely with colleagues in over 40 countries. Together, we build and strengthen the Kiwa brand, with internal communication playing a vital role. Our employees are at the heart of Kiwa, so we focus on delivering relevant and clear internal communication.

As an Internal Communication Specialist, you will help translate Kiwa’s strategy into effective communication plans and contribute to their implementation. Working alongside your internal communications colleague, you will each oversee a range of projects. Your focus will be on the creation of texts, presentations and the development and use of the Kiwa intranet.

What will you do?

  • Write and edit a variety of content, ensuring it aligns with Kiwa’s tone of voice. You will produce articles for the intranet, scripts for videos, speeches for the CEO and ghostwriting assignments. Your journalistic approach allows you to dive into topics, extract the essence and make information accessible to all colleagues;
  • Use and further develop your SharePoint skills to improve our intranet, exploring new features independently and guiding colleagues to optimise the Kiwa intranet;
  • Apply your PowerPoint skills for storytelling, design and animation;
  • Safeguard Kiwa’s tone of voice in all internal communications, in collaboration with the Brand Manager;
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal communications and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a professional with strong communication and listening skills. You connect easily with stakeholders at all levels, work in a structured and accurate way and have a keen eye for detail. You are proactive, flexible and comfortable working to tight deadlines. We also ask that you bring:

  • A completed bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position;
  • At least 5 years of experience in an internal communications role within a commercial organisation and preferably in an international corporate setting;
  • Native English speaker; Dutch language skills are a plus;
  • You are based in the Netherlands and eligible to work here.

What we offer

Kiwa is a leading company in inspection, testing, certification, and technical consulting, thanks to our dedicated employees. We invest in your development through daily work, interesting projects, and training opportunities. We value our employees and reward them with a competitive salary in the range of Euro 65.000 and 98.000 annual fulltime gross including holiday allowance (based on knowledge and experience), 33 annual leave days, a good pension scheme and a 11% at target bonus.

This role offers a unique opportunity to further specialize in internal communication while managing your own projects, including:

  • Managing and continuously enhancing the global intranet, ensuring departments and colleagues can effectively share their news, policies, templates, tools, etc. You are an ambassador for our international communication colleagues from the 40+ Kiwa countries and department leads to optimise the use of the Kiwa intranet;
  • Communicating Kiwa’s strategy and board messages to colleagues worldwide, ensuring the right message, medium and channel while making Kiwa’s strategic priorities and the roles of the Kiwa Management Board visible to all employees globally;
  • Driving continuous communication about our values across the organization;
  • Leading the content and rollout of three annual theme weeks for all of Kiwa;
  • (Co-)Writing for the annual report, ESG report, and sustainability magazine;
  • Aligning with marketing and social media specialists on internal and external communication.

Where you’ll work

You will join the Corporate Communication team based in Rijswijk, The Netherlands, with the option to work partly from home.
