As Supply Chain Architect – Global Planning (Poultry), you will define and govern the global supply chain design, product portfolio structure, and long‑term (1–5 year) planning horizon.

This is a senior, strategically positioned role at the intersection of Sales, Service, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain Planning. You will set the rules, frameworks, and governance that enable high service performance, profitable growth, and supply chain resilience across a global, multi‑site network.

This role is not about short‑term scheduling—it is about architecting how the Poultry supply chain works today and evolves for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Global Supply Chain Architecture

  • Design and continuously optimize the global supply chain architecture, including product portfolio alignment, network structure, and long‑term planning assumptions.
  • Define clear roles for manufacturing sites and partners (e.g. centers of excellence, regional assembly hubs).

Portfolio & Complexity Management

  • Own global portfolio governance by site and partner.
  • Drive modularization, standardization, and variant rationalization to reduce complexity and protect margins.
  • Integrate full product lifecycle demand, including aftermarket (spares, upgrades, retrofits).
  • Hold Sales and Service accountable for forecast quality versus the Plan of Record (POR).

Global Planning Governance

  • Establish and lead a centralized global planning governance model.
  • Ensure global strategy is executed consistently by local planning teams.
  • Enable effective multi‑site load balancing in response to demand fluctuations or disruptions.

Procurement & Supply Base Strategy

  • Own the 1–5 year demand outlook as a strategic input for Procurement.
  • Support supplier segmentation, sourcing strategy, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive dual sourcing and supplier development initiatives for critical components.

Inventory & Resilience Strategy

  • Define decoupling points and semi‑finished inventory strategies to enable late‑stage customization.
  • Position buffers strategically near demand markets.
  • Increase structural resilience while maintaining cost and service trade‑offs.

Digital & Analytical Enablement

  • Act as business owner for future‑ready planning capabilities (APS/ERP integration, digital twin readiness, predictive analytics).
  • Translate business strategy into clear requirements for planning technology evolution.

What You Bring

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in end‑to‑end supply chain planning roles.
  • Proven experience in global, multi‑site supply chain environments.
  • Strong background in portfolio management, S&OP / IBP, and long‑term planning.
  • Hands‑on collaboration experience with Procurement.
  • Experience participating in APS / ERP or major planning system transformations.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. APICS CPIM/CSCP, IBF, Six Sigma) are a plus.
