Who we are

Join the fintech revolution with Mambu, the leading SaaS cloud banking platform. We're on a mission to make banking better for a billion people.

The role

As a Director of Product, you are an experienced leader tasked with maintaining Mambu's market-leading position by overseeing the evolution of core banking offerings and platform solutions, bridging the gap between deep technical strategies and commercial market expansion, ensuring our lending solutions remain flexible, compliant, and performant for the next decade.

What you’ll do

Domain Leadership & Strategy (Lending):

  • Portfolio Ownership: Define the long-term vision and roadmap for the Lending domain, taking a data-driven approach to identify and prioritize key market opportunities and competitive differentiators across Fixed-Term, Revolving Credit, Mortgages, and Credit Cards.
  • Market Expansion: prioritise global market opportunities to ensure our lending products remain compliant and competitive across all geographies.
  • Commercialisation: Lead the global product strategy for Lending by partnering with Sales and Marketing to define value propositions and pricing strategies that account for throughput and storage costs, ensuring Mambu remains a high-margin solution for our largest customers.

Platform Evolution & Technical Modernisation:

  • Architectural Transformation: Lead the strategy for migrating legacy components toward a modern, API-first microservices architecture, effectively balancing feature velocity with technical debt reduction.
  • Scalability & Resiliency: Drive the product requirements for high-stakes stability, ensuring our lending engine can handle millions of real-time API queries and complex interest calculations without compromise.
  • Tech North Star: Champion architecture initiatives as a core product value, translating complex technical requirements (e.g. UI updates, API performance, and core persistence layer optimisations) into business outcomes for executive stakeholders.

People Leadership & Organisational Excellence:

  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a world-class team of Product Managers; foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and technical empathy.
  • Operational Rigor: Optimise the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) to ensure the delivery of clear, concise PRDs, roadmaps, and epics that effectively balance strategic priorities, customer requests, and technical needs.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Act as a strategic advisor to the C-suite on resource allocation, investment tradeoffs, and large-scale platform migration risks.

What you’ll bring

  • Progressive Product Management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity managing other Product Managers. Track record of building and growing a high performance team.
  • Deep Lending Expertise: Unrivalled functional knowledge of retail and commercial lending products (e.g. gained through direct position within a bank or other financial institution, or in a software vendor supporting banking products).
  • Proven track record of managing successful new product development, large-scale technical projects and process improvements.
  • The ability to influence cross-functional global teams engaging at all levels within the organisation.
  • A data-first mindset to measure platform stability and synthesize complex information into compelling business cases for evolving the product strategy and identifying new lending feature opportunities.

What you’ll get

Join us to shape the future of banking, where your professional growth is equally as valued as your personal well-being.

  • Company Equity for All
  • Learning and Development Opportunities
  • Hybrid/Remote Working (Location Dependant)
  • 30 Day Working Abroad
