ING Netherlands is seeking an experienced Finance Advice Manager to strengthen the team supporting the Private Individuals (PI) and Personal Banking (PB) segments. These cover market-leading products, such as Mortgages, Personal Loans, current accounts and savings, Insurance, and Investments, and contribute materially to ING Group’s publicly disclosed financial goals.

Finance Business Advice Manager - Private Individuals & Private Banking

The Team:

In this role, you will play a key role in steering the financial performance of PI & PB products—translating strategy into actionable insights and priorities, shaping pricing and portfolio decisions, and elevating the quality of financial narratives for senior stakeholders. You’ll provide content leadership across product financials, act as a senior sparring partner to peers, and help the team turn insights into action.

We welcome international applicants. Relocation to the Netherlands is required for this role, and ING will support you throughout the process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • This role plays a key part in steering the financial performance of the PI & PB segments by translating strategy into clear financial priorities, providing insights on product economics and pricing, and shaping data-driven business cases.
  • You will deliver high-quality financial analysis across the product portfolio, review pricing and performance initiatives, and provide actionable recommendations to improve outcomes.
  • The role requires strong collaboration with Product, Retail, Risk, Finance, Business Partners, and Group Finance, contributing to senior-level discussions and aligning stakeholders across functions and countries.
  • You will act as a sparring partner and coach for team members, support onboarding and knowledge sharing, and drive continuous improvements in forecasting, reporting, data quality, and process simplification across the PI & PB domain.

How to Succeed:

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in Finance, FP&A, Product Control, or Business Partnering (retail banking experience strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to shape pricing/product decisions, portfolio steering, and performance management with data-driven insight.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and storytelling skills; comfortable moving from detail to the big picture.
  • Experience coaching, guiding, or functionally leading senior finance professionals and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Stakeholder management strength with credibility at senior levels.
  • A growth mindset, proactive ownership, and comfort with change.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

What We Offer

  • A highly visible role with exposure to senior stakeholders and Group Finance.
  • The opportunity to shape financial insights and decision-making for market-leading PI & PB products.
  • Collaboration within a strong, highly qualified Finance Advice team—with empowerment to drive meaningful initiatives.
  • An international environment with cross-border collaboration.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with job grade 12, plus relocation support for international candidates.
