Does the challenge of keeping existing energy grids in good condition appeal to you, as it contributes to a greener, brighter and more sustainable future? In this role, you will help make the energy grid more reliable and ensure we get the most out of the existing grid at Alliander.

The energy transition is impossible without you

Our existing energy grids are cost-intensive assets and vital for our customers. In this role you will make sure that we continue to use them to their full potential. Based on technical insights, risk analyses and a data-driven approach, you will provide advice on how we should invest, what we should invest in or what maintenance strategy we should employ. You will be a discussion partner and specialist who supports colleagues in the chain, as well as a strategic advisor for management.

You’ll be working on:

  • Being responsible for a certain asset population (such as switching installations or cables) in our catchment area and acting as a discussion partner within the organisation.
  • Analysing the behaviour of these assets and translating this into medium- and long-term plans.
  • Assessing risks and determining what investments or measures are needed.
  • Writing well-substantiated documents, life-cycle plans, investment proposals and asset plans.
  • Representing Liander within working groups of Netbeheer Nederland, Ksandr and other national and international knowledge partners.
  • Providing management with information on performance, risks and budgets.
  • Actively coaching team members and working with them to identify new possibilities, making use of AI, data and innovation.

You make the grid more complete at Alliander

Did you know Alliander consists of several companies working together to build a reliable and future-proof energy grid? With a large team of skilled professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of residents and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do is with care for the people who rely on us: our customers. And thanks to our talented people, we have full confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we make the energy transition possible—for and with our customers.

You will be working at our Asset and Product Management (APM) business unit within network operator Liander. Here you will share responsibility for managing and maintaining energy networks, like the electricity and gas grids. This is how we deliver energy to households, businesses and other clients.

The APM Maintenance department is made up of a team of friendly and helpful colleagues. Together with around 35 colleagues, split between offices in Amsterdam, Duiven and Arnhem, you will work on the electricity grid. As a team, you will devise and implement smart technical solutions that will ensure our grid is fit for the future.

You make the grid more energetic

Working on an organisation that is future proof. With your talent and strengths, you can do that at our company. Will you contribute with your surprising perspectives? We hope so! We are looking in particular for a candidate with:

  • Professional and intellectual ability at HBO (higher vocational education)/university level, with a relevant technical qualification.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in the area of electricity grids.
  • Experience of asset management.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Experience of stakeholder management.
  • Persuasiveness and vision.

Better arranged for you

  • a gross monthly salary of € 5.310,00 to € 9.016,00 (scale 10 and 11, depending on experience and expertise).
  • An annual Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full-time) or 12.8% (part-time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 8% holiday allowance. You can choose to have this amount paid out, or use it to purchase additional leave days. You decide what suits you best.
  • 24.5 vacation days per year, which you can easily supplement using your IKB.
  • A year-end bonus in December of 6% of your annual salary.
  • An annual Sustainable Employability (DI) budget of €700. Use it, for example, to cover costs for sports or hobbies, make your home more sustainable and green, or reduce your student loan with DUO. You decide where your budget goes.
