Nature intern to scope energy/water productivity projects

About the job

You will have the opportunity to complete an internship at our factory in Zoetermeer.

At Nutricia, part of Danone, we work every day on high‑quality nutritional products that contribute to health and well‑being.

Strata (digital tool for measuring energy and water usage) is now live in ZTM, using outputs on meters that already existed and could send signals and a few “additional” meters. However, how the data corresponds to various factory activities needs someone to deep dive into and understand clearly. This will lead to opportunities for improvements to our Nature metrics in the future.

Work with a cross functional group to understand how Strata recordings relate to factory activities

  • Digital team and Strata’s supplier on how the tool works, and what the inputs are
  • Work with and FBU team to understand what these inputs are measuring “in the field”, and what are facility activities (e.g. heating, HVACs, etc)
  • Work with PDE to understand how process activities impact the data

Analyze the data to identify opportunities for improvements

  • Perform some sensitivity analysis to see what has a non-negligible impact and develop with all functions some ideas for improvements

Deliver a first high-level assessment for these opportunities on “size of prize” and requirements to implement (money, time, resource)

  • Work with the Utility Engineering team to build some high-level indications
