Senior Strategy Consultant

NN Group is accelerating its Future Ready transformation, with a strong focus on becoming a data-driven, digitally enabled organisation. At the core of this journey, the Strategy & Transformation Office is expanding its internal Strategy Consulting Pool to meet growing demand for high-impact strategic work across digital, data & AI, and organisation transformation topics.

What you are going to do

In this role, you will work on board-level priorities, combining structured problem solving with hands-on execution. You will help shape and deliver end-to-end transformations, from defining strategy to driving implementation and measurable impact.

Recent engagements include shaping the NN Bank strategy, defining a group-wide commercial strategy, and advancing cross-group transformation initiatives, often at the intersection of business, technology, people and data. You will also collaborate closely with leading external consulting firms when relevant, jointly developing insights, facilitating workshops, and translating strategy into execution.

As a Senior Consultant, you lead clearly defined workstreams within corporate strategy and transformation projects, translating complex questions into structured approaches, analyses and actionable recommendations. You work on topics such as group strategy, business model transformation, operating model design and cross-function strategic initiatives. You take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of your workstream, from problem structuring through analysis to synthesis and recommendation. You engage with stakeholders across the organisation through interviews and workshops, ensuring alignment and high-quality inputs. You translate findings into clear, well-structured storylines and materials for senior stakeholders, and contribute to the overall coherence and impact of the project. You also support and coach consultants in their day-to-day work.

Who you are

• Approximately 5 years of experience in a top-tier or strategy consulting firm, or in an internal strategy or analytical role leading workstreams
• Strong skills in problem structuring, capable of translating complex topics into clear analyses and recommendations
• Ability to work independently, maintain high quality standards, and ensure timely delivery
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and communicating clearly and effectively at various organizational levels
• Interest in corporate strategy and transformation, with an understanding of digital, data, and AI as enablers
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with a positive contribution to team development

Who you will work with

You are part of the Strategy & Transformation Office which consists of two teams: Portfolio management Future Ready programme and the Strategy Consulting Pool. The team has a direct reporting line to the CEO of NN Group. The Strategy Consulting Pool is a small, high-performing team with strong consulting backgrounds and direct exposure to Managing Board (MB) and MB-1 stakeholders. The team plays a critical role in bridging strategy, digital innovation, and execution, ensuring that strategic choices translate into tangible business outcomes.

The team is based in The Hague and works onsite at least two days per week, with the option to meet in Amsterdam when relevant.
