Be the true you

Naturally you are keen to discover and learn new things each day and you effectively communicate your complex ideas and analyses. But most importantly, be the true you. The one and only you. With your personal strengths, view of the world and unique personality.

You need the following qualifications for the position of (Senior) Consultant – M&A Technology Due Diligence

  • A relevant Master’s degree (MSc, ir.) and a clear affinity with technology;
  • A minimum 1–3 (consultant) and 3–5 (senior consultant) years of working experience in companies such as Big 4, (technology) strategy consulting or in a technology-related corporate M&A;
  • Background in technology M&A (due diligence, integrations and separations) or eagerness to adapt your expertise in Technology strategy into an M&A context;
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.

What impact will you make?

As part of our current M&A Transactions Services (TS) team, where both corporate and private equity clients are supported in substantiated investment decisions, the Value Creation Services (VCS) team helps these clients to deliver tangible benefits across the entire value chain. In the past years, the VCS team has been very successfully involved in large Dutch and international transactions.

Within VCS, the proposition for M&A Technology Due Diligence has been growing over the last years and this growth is going to be faster in the years to come. We deliver high-quality work to help our clients with technology-related decisions in their M&A processes. Altogether, we support our clients with understanding the relevant trends in technology, complexity, value and potential risks. Since technology is increasingly embedded in all stages of the M&A lifecycle, we are looking for you to continue expanding the M&A Technology Due Diligence team.

How do you do this?

  • Conducting M&A technology (e.g., IT, cyber security, product, platform) due diligence engagements across all industries;
  • Reviewing and defining current and end-state technology strategies, business models, technology stacks and aligning them with our clients’ investment cases;
  • Providing insights on the capabilities, risks and associated costs for desired state;
  • Analyzing technology developments and strategies as well as investment plans;
  • Preparing our clients for carve-outs and integrations, including technology aspects;
  • Focusing, together with an enthusiastic team, on further shaping and developing the successful and growing M&A Technology Due Diligence proposition.

Further, you will have the opportunity to work together with all the Deloitte service lines (e.g., Consulting, Risk Advisory, Tax, Legal) and experience a multi-disciplinary way of working.

Benefits

  • You will receive a profit-sharing bonus on top of your fixed salary, in addition to a competitive salary and a share in our profits.
  • Great growth opportunities, depending on your ambitions and performance, supported by a development program to help you keep growing.
  • Flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home, including a work-from-home office setup allowance for an ergonomically designed workstation and an internet allowance.
  • 26 days of paid holiday annually, and the opportunity to purchase 15 additional holiday days annually.
  • The opportunity to take a month of unpaid leave once annually.
  • The possibility to go on sabbatical for at least 2 months.
  • A good mobility scheme: choice between a company car with a fuel pass for Europe, the Mobility+ option, a gross cash option with which you arrange all your own transport, or a public transport annual subscription.
  • An iPhone, which is also for personal use.
  • A laptop with a 4G connection.
  • A good pension scheme.
