Vacature: Data Steward & Process Expert

Help us strengthen the reliability of our investor reporting by connecting high‑quality data with well‑designed processes, and making sure Asset Finance and our organisation truly works the way it should.

In this hybrid role, you take responsibility for both the quality of our data and the effectiveness of the processes that create it. You start with the data itself: investigating data quality issues, analysing inconsistencies, and working with colleagues across the Bank to understand and resolve the root causes.

Your insights don’t stop at data; they flow directly into improving the underlying processes. With your colleagues you design how work should be done, document clear standards, and ensure the organisation actually follows them. In doing so, you help create a continuous improvement cycle where data quality, process quality, and risk management reinforce one another.

What you are going to do

  • Analyse data quality issues, resolve inconsistencies, and collaborate with data owners to identify root causes
  • Translate data findings into improvements in business processes; design and document clear current‑state and target‑state workflows
  • Write, refine, and maintain process descriptions, and control documentation and test whether these processes operate as designed, improving them where necessary
  • Review, define, and help embed governance, roles, and controls to ensure teams work according to agreed standards

As a Data Steward & Process Expert you will facilitate risk assessments and test whether controls are well‑designed and operating effectively, and drive findings to closure. Furthermore you will also work with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology, and business teams to align improvements and embed better ways of working.

Who you are

You are someone who enjoys working with both data and processes and who sees how they influence each other. You are analytical, precise, and comfortable diving into data, but you also know how to turn insights into practical improvements. You can connect people, align stakeholders, and guide teams toward better and more consistent execution.

  • Strong analytical problem‑solver with the ability to structure and investigate complex issues
  • Skilled at building relationships across Finance and the business side of the Bank
  • Clear communicator, fluent in English and preferably in Dutch (written and verbal) and you are already residing in the Netherlands
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with databases and process documentation including risk assessments and test of controls
  • Master degree
  • Detail‑oriented professional with a strong risk mindset and the ability to document precisely and clearly

Who you will work with

You are going to be part of a team with a variety of backgrounds and cultures. The Asset Finance team is responsible for allocation of mortgages towards in- and external investors. As such we deliver high quality reports and act as the single point of contact towards our stakeholders.
