Do you want to be part of an experienced team, with over 25 professionals located in the Netherlands and India, supporting Philips businesses with End-to-end (E2E) product Quality and Reliability knowledge, developing RAMS best practices for medical devices and training material worldwide?

Do you want to join a group of global experts, guiding and coaching Philips teams in adopting and embracing advanced Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety Engineering methodologies?

Your role:

  • You will support the developing of training materials for Reliability, hardware and software
  • You will give trainings and workshops worldwide and you will coach and support engineers across the globe during their path through RAMS
  • You are an expert of RAMS and you will lead technical teams in Business units on how to apply RAMS best practices.
  • You will work as a consultant, participating to projects where reliability methodologies need to be applied
  • You will liaise with Philips R&D and Industrialization organizations globally, to drive the continuous improvement of business processes and associated templates
  • You will actively ensure the deployment and application of key development activities, e.g. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Reliability modelling and analyses
  • You will participate in related corporate initiatives to improve business process and capability maturity when required
  • You will manage improvement projects to implement sustainable changes
  • You will collaborate with global innovation excellence programs and the business and grow a network with relevant stakeholders

You're the right fit if:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with Bachelor/Master/PhD in areas such as Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Experience in reliability testing, Design for Reliability, developing reliability requirements, improving a reliability program, performing appropriate analyses to ensure Product Reliability, software quality, software testing, and / or software development, improving SW reliability
  • Proficient with Design FMEA and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) techniques. Be hands-on and self-motivated.
  • Have an excellent attitude and a collaborative spirit.
  • Be capable of critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Be familiar with lab tools including soldering equipment, multimeters, and hand tools.
  • Be capable of exceling in a high performing team environment and working with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have experience in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Be familiar with software tools (i.e. Reliasoft, Minitab etc.)
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) Preferred
  • Strong understanding of medical device industry regulatory requirements including ISO Standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and ISO25010), EUMDR, IEC 62304, IEC 60601, IEC 62366.
  • Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Ability to function effectively within a dynamic team environment.

Additional

  • DfSS or DMAIC Green Belt certification or equivalent
  • Practical experience with six - sigma tools in a regulated industry (Pharma, Medical Devices, Automotive)
  • Medical device product development experience
