What You Will Do

The Director of Education for the brand will develop and implement a compelling education strategy that aligns with and amplifies the brand strategy, establishing the brand as a leading voice in education within the beauty industry. This role requires a passionate and highly skilled individual with deep expertise and a proven ability to develop and deliver engaging educational content across online and offline platforms. The Director will be responsible for driving brand engagement with the brands network, managing the educational budget, and collaborating with other departments to achieve company objectives. This would include, but would not be limited to, the following accountabilities:

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Partnership & Content: Collaborate closely with Global and US Marketing teams to identify and develop US education content and curiculum.

  • Artist Engagement & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of pro advocates and educators. Create a community of highly engaged brand advocates through regular in-person and digital touchpoints. Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality education.
  • Program Delivery: Oversee the deployment of brand educational programs across various platforms, including in-person workshops, online trainings, and both live and virtual shows & events.
  • Train-the-Trainer Programs: Develop and implement training programs for internal and external educators to ensure consistent delivery of educational content.
  • Budget Management: Manage and optimize the educational budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment. Performance Measurement: Track, analyze, and report on key educational metrics to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and technologies. Integrate new developments into educational programs to ensure the most cument knowledge.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and other Education teams to align educational initiatives with overall business strategies and product launches.

Required Competencies and Interpersonal Skills

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Requires a recognized discipline expert within the company
  • Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
  • Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to lead others to solve complex problems; provides advice on a wide range of issues within area of subject matter expertise
  • Contributes to setting standards around which others will operate within area of expertise
  • May lead programs/multiple projects and/or diverse functional teams
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging educational programs.
  • Strong understanding of digital learning and social media.
  • Strong platform skills and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning and facilitation principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
