Bij Loyens & Loeff is de positie van IT Director vacant.

The company: Loyens & Loeff

Loyens & Loeff is an international top tier full-service law and tax firm, providing integrated legal and tax services in four Home Markets: the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium and Switzerland. Clients include large and medium-sized, national and international companies, asset managers as well as high net worth private individuals.

Role description

The IT department is currently led by an interim IT Director. The predecessor held the role for approximately 20 years and managed the department together with the Head of IT Operations, who also has around 20 years of tenure. Given the relatively small and highly operational nature of the current IT department, it is essential that the IT Director maintains close connections with employees on the work floor. The IT Director understands day-to-day operational realities and, based on knowledge and experience, is able to challenge the status quo where needed. At the same time, the role requires strong stakeholder management skills: operating confidently and resiliently at both Partner and Executive Team level, while also engaging effectively with senior stakeholders within the IT department.

The IT Director is member of the Executive Team and reports to Lieselot Oosterkamp, Executive Director and Member of the Executive Board.

Role purpose

The IT Director is responsible for defining and executing the firm’s technology strategy to support future business growth, operational excellence and regulatory compliance. The role combines strategic leadership with strong operational involvement, ensuring a reliable, secure, and future-ready IT landscape.

The IT Director leads IT infrastructure, enterprise applications and innovation initiatives, while ensuring robust governance, documentation, and compliance across all IT processes. The role works closely with the CISO on the operational implementation of security policies and with Commercial & Legal Excellence (CLE) and Innovation on the technical enablement of business change, including AI initiatives.

The coming years will be characterized by several major challenges, including:

  • Project Octopus: a complex renewal of the ERP landscape.
  • The transfer of technical operations from the business to the IT department.
  • The further development and rollout of AI applications in collaboration with CLE.
