About this role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and scientists. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing petabytes of click stream data and designing scalable GCP solutions.

We value a customer-centric approach and rely on teamwork to deliver robust data pipelines. In this role, you will own your results while building measurement datasets that turn big data into actionable insights for the entire business.

Please note: this is a maternity cover with an end date of January 31st, 2027.

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP for digital measurement data.
• Leverage advanced SQL and Python to transform, optimize, and analyze large datasets.
• Build and orchestrate data workflows using tools like Apache Airflow and DBT.
• Design and maintain efficient data warehouse solutions on BigQuery to support global analytics.
• Develop and optimize data models to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
• Mentor junior colleagues, fostering a culture of technical growth, and provide technical recommendations to management and stakeholders.

• Strong Python skills and experience automating workflows with tools like Airflow or DBT.
• Experience in guiding junior engineers and a passion for helping others succeed.
• The ability to translate complex technical data into actionable recommendations for management.
• A natural ability to build bridges and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
• A commitment to acting responsibly while making a lasting impact on our data culture.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
