During the In-house Day, you will attend two breakout sessions in the afternoon program. These sessions give you the opportunity to learn more about the traineeships that interest you most. When registering, you will select your two preferred sessions so we can take them into account when planning your schedule. Please note: The Corporate Finance and Global Markets break‑outs will take place at the same time. And the break-outs Commercial, Consultancy, and Data will start with the same plenary introduction. If you select two of these break-outs, you will hear this plenary part twice before going into the break out. Keep this in mind when making your selection.
The following departments will host a break-out session during the In-house Day:
Corporate Banking Traineeship The Corporate Bank (CB) is ABN AMRO’s investment bank, serving large companies and institutions. CB offers several traineeships across five departments. Corporate Finance, Financing Solutions, Global Markets, Credit Risk and Commercial Real Estate. During the In-house Day, three Corporate Banking departments will host a break-out. Corporate Finance, Financing Solutions, and Global Markets.
Corporate Finance Traineeship (Hosted in English; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a master’s degree in quantitative finance or economics).
Corporate Finance focuses on advising companies on mergers and acquisitions, as well as IPOs. As a trainee, you work on presentations and company valuations, meet with investors, and join negotiations. During the break‑out, you will learn what your work will look like as a Corporate Finance trainee.
Financing Solutions Traineeship (Hosted in English; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a master’s degree in quantitative finance or economics or Law).
Financing Solutions is all about lending money under the right conditions. As a trainee, you learn how to analyse companies and structure transactions. If you want to understand the bank from the inside out, this is the place for you. The break‑out will give you a clear picture of the Financing Solutions Traineeship.
Global Markets Traineeship (Hosted in English; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a master’s degree in quantitative finance, economics, or law).
Global Markets supports clients in trading (complex) financial products such as currencies, equities, interest products, bonds, and fixed‑income instruments. As a trainee, you will learn about our products and customers and experience what it’s like to work in a dealing room. This break‑out gives you a clear overview of the Global Markets Traineeship.
Wealth Management Traineeship (Hosted in Dutch; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. No specific field required).
Wealth Management supports wealthy individuals, entrepreneurs, families, and charities with complex financial challenges, including wealth growth, business succession, estate planning, and sustainable investing. During the break‑out, we will show you how we support clients with tailored solutions and what opportunities the Wealth Management Traineeship offers.
Commercial Traineeship (Hosted in Dutch; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. No specific field required).
Are you inspired by innovative sales strategies, strong client relationships, and driving business growth? Within the Commercial Traineeship, you can work in commercial roles such as Business Banker or Sales Consultant within the Retail or Business Banking divisions. During the break‑out, we will tell you more about the opportunities within the Commercial Traineeship.
Consultancy Traineeship (Hosted in Dutch; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. No specific field required).
In Consultancy, you work on complex questions that directly affect the functioning and future of the bank. Think of analysing business challenges, developing strategic insights, and collaborating with experts from different disciplines to create impactful solutions. In this break‑out, we’ll show you what the Consultancy Traineeship can offer you.
Data Traineeship (Hosted in English; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a master’s degree in applied mathematics, econometrics, or economics).
The Data department works on challenges that help the bank become smarter, faster, and future‑proof. This includes translating detailed data analyses into strategic decisions, improving customer journeys, and uncovering valuable commercial insights. In the break‑out session, we’ll tell you more about the opportunities within the Data Traineeship.
Global Clearing Traineeship (Hosted in English; suitable for graduates nearing completion of a master’s degree in Banking & Finance, econometrics, or business administration).
Take a look inside the “black box” of the financial world and discover what happens after a deal is made on the markets. We will introduce you to one of the most dynamic industries worldwide and give you insight into how financial markets operate. If this sparks your interest, we do love to tell you more about the Clearing Traineeship. As a trainee, you work with colleagues from our 11 global offices to serve top trading houses. During the break‑out, we’ll explain how ABN AMRO Clearing operates as an independent bank under ABN AMRO.
At the end of the day, you can visit the Career Fair, where various other ABN AMRO departments and networks will be present.
