About the team

Team Infrastructure & Cloud Operations delivers mission critical infrastructure services for customers running Private Cloud, Public Cloud (Azure) and on-premise environments. We support platforms where availability, continuity and reliability are business critical, downtime is not an option. Our team consists of highly skilled engineers with a strong sense of ownership. We design, build and operate complex Windows based and cloud environments, using modern automation (Infrastructure as Code) with a “Design for failure” mindset.

Your role

In this role, as a Senior Azure devops engineer within Team Infrastructure & Cloud Operations, you are responsible for the reliability, availability and continuity of customer environments. You combine hands-on infrastructure engineering with automation and infrastructure as code with SRE principles. You don’t just keep systems running — you continuously improve them through monitoring, automation, incident learning and proactive risk reduction.

What you will do

Engineering, Automation & Cloud Foundations

• Engineer and operate Windows based infrastructure (e.g. Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL)
• Support and optimize Azure IaaS and hybrid cloud platforms
• Work with Landing Zones and Infrastructure as Code to build scalable, compliant cloud foundations
• Automate operational and provisioning tasks using Ansible, AWX, PowerShell and related tooling
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines used for infrastructure and platform changes
• Drive standardization and automation to reduce manual effort and risk

Reliability, Security & Operations

• Ensure high availability and reliability of customer platforms in Private Cloud, Azure and hybrid environments
• Monitor, analyze and improve system performance, security and stability using observability tools such as Zabbix, Azure Monitoring, Azure Advisor
• Secure cloud environments with MDE & MDC, drive Azure Secure Score improvements, and leverage Defender XDR for advanced threat detection and response

Continuity & Recovery

• Take end-to-end ownership of continuity and recoverability for customer environments
• Design, implement and test backup, restore and disaster recovery solutions

Collaboration & Ownership

• Act as a trusted technical partner for customers
• Work closely with fellow Team Infrastructure & Cloud Operations engineers
• Share knowledge, mentor colleagues and contribute to team maturity
• Participate in on call rotations and act as an escalation point for complex incidents
• Lead or contribute to post incident reviews and implement structural improvements
• Take ownership beyond tickets — you build it, run it and improve it

• Mentorship: Guide and support junior engineers, sharing expertise and promoting a culture of excellence.
• People: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, Service Managers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services for customers. Effective communication and mentoring junior team members are essential to fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
• Technology: Use in-depth understanding of cloud architecture and Azure’s capabilities to troubleshoot, manage, maintain, migrate, and optimize workloads for robust landing zones and other cloud infrastructure components, ensuring reliability and scalability of customer cloud environments.
