The role

We are seeking a highly motivated Merchandiser to join the Karl Lagerfeld Women’s RTW team. The Merchandiser is responsible for managing, maintaining and being a key support in the Product Merchandising across all categories. This includes shaping the product assortment, driving sales performance, and ensuring our collections reflect both creative vision and commercial success. Reports directly into Merchandising Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Range Planning & Product Development: Leading parts of the range planning process for Women’s Ready to wear, providing strategic input to Design and Product Development teams.
  • Trend & Competitor Research: Stay ahead of industry trends and benchmark competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze historical data to guide assortment planning and improve sales efficiency.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports on best-sellers, sell-through rates, and overall collection performance to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Product insight: Strong product interest to advise the Design & PD teams on materials, trims, colors and silhouettes.
  • Product Calendar Management: Oversee the seasonal product calendar to ensure timely launches and smooth workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Share product and style information with internal teams and licensing partners to ensure full alignment.
  • Sales Tools & Presentations: Support the preparation of line books, online sales tools, and merchandising presentations for strategic partners. Sample maintenance and involvement in collection photo shoot preparation for market launch.
  • Market Engagement: Attend sales appointments and market visits to gather insights and support business objectives.
  • Team Support: Mentor junior merchandisers and interns, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

The profile

  • Bachelor degree in fashion or Business degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in Product Merchandising or a closely related field
  • Language: fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Be up to date with latest trends and design
  • Strong analytical mindset
