In this role, you will lead the medical affairs team for Image-Guided Therapy Systems (IGT-S), developing and executing clinical strategies while supporting cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational objectives. You will partner with R&D, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Patient Safety to drive strategic direction, foster innovation, and ensure effective operational execution.

Your role:

  • Strategic planning and execution: Lead the alignment and execution of medical affairs strategies with overall IGTS and Philips Medical Office objectives, driving innovation and operational excellence.
  • Decision-making support: Provide high-level analysis and recommendations to support effective leadership decision-making in medical and clinical affairs.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Foster integration and collaboration between medical affairs and other departments, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to advance business and clinical objectives.
  • Operational effectiveness: Set clear goals, ensure compliance, manage risk, and optimize program outcomes to maximize product value and organizational effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder management and culture: Drive talent management and cultivate a positive work environment to support team engagement, development, and retention.

You're the right fit if:

  • 6+ years of people management experience (strongly preferred) and 8+ years of experience in Medical/Clinical Affairs within the medical device industry.
  • Profound knowledge of medical device regulations and standards, with hands-on domain medical and clinical expertise, including experience in medical/clinical strategy and process development; ideally hands-on with software as a medical device and artificial intelligence.
  • MD required, with strong preference for board-certified cardiologist, radiologist, or surgeon backgrounds; subspecialization in interventional cardiology, radiology, or surgery preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong expertise in project management, clinical study design and management, and demonstrated success driving cross-functional collaboration along the product lifecycle; strong commercial and business acumen, experience with due diligence, patient- and user-focused solution thinking, and the ability to effectively manage relationships with regulators and professional societies.

How we work together

For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
