OMA is currently looking for an intern to join our Contracts Management Department on a full-time basis. Across its global operations, this department plays a key role in managing commercial agreements and project delivery worldwide. This internship offers hands-on experience in an international in-house legal environment.

As a Contracts Management Intern in OMA’s Rotterdam office you will, under the supervision of OMA’s Contracts Management Lead, contribute to the preparation and negotiation of client proposals and agreements, and contracts with OMA sub-consultants. You will also conduct research and provide advice on a broad range of contractual, commercial and legal issues.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a dynamic and multicultural team of OMA’s contract managers, providing support to OMA’s business on a global scale. The successful candidate is expected to start as soon as possible.

Qualifications

  • Recent law graduate or currently pursuing a Master's degree in legal studies, with an interest in commercial law.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
  • A keen interest in gaining practical experience in contract management environment.
  • Interest in the international architecture, engineering, construction, or real estate development industry is a plus, as well as a focus on intellectual property and/or contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook. Basic familiarity with Adobe Suite is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of OMA’s senior team members, you will assist with:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and various types of agreements, including confidentiality agreements, publication agreements, licensing agreements, and similar documents.
  • Providing support for tender submissions, working closely with OMA’s Business Development Department and project managers.
  • Conducting research on various legal matters, analyzing legal risks and implications, associated with OMA’s global operations.
  • Offering support on matters related to data protection, privacy, and intellectual property rights (including trademarks, tradenames, etc.).
  • Managing licensing and business registration applications.
