Quality Assurance Engineer

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented mid-level Quality Assurance Engineer to help define, implement, and drive our testing strategy. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our web application is reliable, intuitive, and bug-free.

Your job:

As a mid-level QA Engineer, your success will be defined by how well you strengthen our quality culture and enhance the robustness of our testing processes.

Your challenges:

What success looks like:

• Strengthen quality awareness in the organization by improving QA processes, tools, and methodologies
• Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing efforts effectively
• Conduct thorough functional, regression and exploratory testing of new and existing features
• Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved effectively without introducing regressions
• Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system
• Write automated tests to increase test coverage and reliability using Playwright and TypeScript
• Analyze automation test results, debug failures, and report findings to the team
• Identify opportunities to streamline testing and help integrate automation into our CI/CD pipelines
• Take ownership of writing and executing test cases and plans for new features and existing functionality
• Perform manual testing while progressively increasing automation coverage
• Lead efforts around regression testing to safeguard core functionality
• Work cross-functionally with developers, designers, and product managers to advocate for quality at every stage of development
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in software testing, and continuously improve your testing skills

Who are you?

As a mid-level QA Engineer at Channable, you have a technical background and are also willing to understand the business needs of our end users. You are a passionate and driven individual who is eager to make a meaningful impact from day one:

• At least 2 years of experience in software application testing
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices
• Experience with regression testing, functional testing, and exploratory testing
• Experience with manual testing with a focus on frontend and UX
• Experience using an automated test suite like Playwright or Cypress
• Experience with tools for test documentation management and bug tracking systems
• Experience with version control systems (git), familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools
• Basic understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills with attention to detail
• Certifications like ISTQB are a strong plus

Some practical things we expect from you:

• You are willing to work from our Utrecht office at least 2 days a week
• You have EU citizenship or a valid work permit for the Netherlands. Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
• You are available to work at least 32 hours per week
