Philips is seeking a dedicated Environment, Health & Safety Manager to advance environmental protection, occupational health, and psychological safety. You will lead the Site Environment, Safety and Health team at the Philips Innovation Center at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven (PIC-E HTC) and contribute to hands-on EHS management on site.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the environment, health and safety framework, ensuring the site adheres to regulatory standards and exemplifies best practices in preventing work-related mental health issues, including stress and burnout.

Your role

  • Manage a team of EHS professionals to support the Site Leader in meeting EHS accountability and responsibilities, ensuing from legal and Philips requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific environment, health and safety procedures and programs in line with Philips’ goals and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive initiatives to promote psychological safety and mental health among employees.
  • Lead training sessions and workshops to equip teams and employees with essential knowledge and practices, to improve wellbeing and foster a shared responsibility culture.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of environment and safety standards through regular audits and feedback sessions.
  • Collaborate with management and works council on strategies for interactions related to environment, health and safety issues; enhance EHS awareness and drive business ownership to build a positive EHS culture.

Incident and Crisis Management: Lead investigations, reporting and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Estimated time allocation: 30% team management and 70% professional work.

The Site Management and Environment, Safety and Health team at the Philips Innovation Center at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven (PIC-E HTC).

You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (Dutch HVK), preferably certified.
  • Experience in enhancing psychological safety and promoting mental health in the workplace is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an environment, health and safety role, preferably also on the topic of mental health and wellbeing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Dutch and English), with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen ability to drive initiatives with (management) teams and works councils.
  • Working under and maintaining an ISO45001/14001 certified management system.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team would be an asset.
