This is an exciting opportunity to work as an internal consultant to ensure our operational compliance and support our own business transition towards a more sustainable future. You will be leading the Environmental Management System (ISO14001) and Energy Management System (ISO50001) for France and Morocco. Your experience in applying these management systems is essential, as is stakeholder management and fluency in French and English language.

Your opportunities as Group EHS Consultant at Capgemini

Capgemini operates our Environmental Management Systems in around 40 countries, 300 sites and covering over 98% of our headcount.

Now we have a specific requirement for someone to lead our ISO140001 & 50001 programe for France and Morocco (based in NL). Our team of EHS consultants are internally facing, and responsible for supporting compliance of the country functions through the Group Management Systems, the relevant ISO standards, and for promoting and monitoring performance of our sustainability objectives.

In short:

  • Adminster the Group Management Systems for Capgemini France and Morocco.
  • Establish legal and other compliance requirements and their relevance to our business.
  • Lead the relationship with key stakeholders, hosting regular review meetings, supporting and challenging to ensure success.
  • Develop, review, update and deliver EHS related training materials.
  • Organize the local internal and external audit process in compliance with the Group audit framework
  • Monitoring of performance on objectives and targets and reporting progress to the local country/region leads and where relevant, and Sustainability Board
  • Develop a deep understanding and confidence in handling and presenting data.
  • Support local requests for commercial activity such as bids and tenders.

Your home base at Capgemini Netherlands

You will join a team of EHS consultants with hubs in Utrecht, India, Brasil and UK. Team members have varying levels of experience ranging from apprentice through to senior consultant. The team meets regularly in person and/or virtually to collaborate, share and learn.

Why this role is a match for you

  • To be succesful in this role you need to have a minimum of 2 years experience in sustainability and environmental compliance.
  • You will need a high degree of self motivation and tenacity to get things done with limited supervision.
  • Equally enjoy working a part of an internationally distributed team.

In addition, you should have:

  • Understanding of Environmental and Energy Management Sytems – experience is critical.
  • Training and experience in internal auditing, or lead auditor qualifications.
  • A background - via previous education and/or experience - in environmental science, environmental engineering, compliance or consultancy.
  • Fluency in English and French language is essential – other languages a plus.
