Want to make your mark on our time? Become a Sales Support Professional Health & Work at TNO in Leiden (hybrid, 24–36 hours per week).

About this position

Do you want to make your mark on the healthcare of tomorrow? As a Sales Support Professional (24–36 hours per week) at TNO Health & Work, you support Business Development by carefully and efficiently organizing the commercial process. With your overview, accuracy, and strong sense of collaboration, you contribute to innovations that truly make a societal impact.

What will be your role?

In this role, you ensure accurate system registration, high-quality proposals, and reliable reporting, enabling colleagues to focus on client relationships and creating impactful partnerships. You work closely with colleagues from Market, Finance & Control, Legal, and other internal stakeholders, making an important contribution to a professional and compliant sales process within TNO.

As a Sales Support Officer, you support Business Development by providing structure, clarity, and quality. You work independently, switch easily between tasks, and manage priorities effectively. Together with other Sales Support colleagues, you ensure proper coverage and support for the department.

Additionally, if you wish, there is room to take on other departmental or TNO-wide tasks — ensuring your role remains varied and engaging.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Supporting Business Development in the administrative and procedural aspects of the sales process.
  • Managing and updating CRM data (leads, opportunities, and client information).
  • Maintaining PMC administration and performing annual updates in Dynamo.
  • Preparing periodic and ad hoc sales reports and overviews.
  • Reviewing and supporting quotations and contracts, including templates, terms & conditions, and digital signatures.
  • Managing the digital sales archive and related documentation.
  • Supporting tenders, external calls, and various program and project activities.
  • Performing financial and system-related tasks, such as credit checks, price lists, and purchase orders.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, such as Research Managers, Finance & Control, Legal, and Product Leads.
  • Supporting trade fairs, conferences, and events in collaboration with Marketing & Communications.

What we expect from you

You are often one step ahead of your colleagues thanks to your strong planning and prioritization skills. You anticipate what is needed, switch quickly between tasks, and communicate clearly when something is not feasible. With your engaged and positive attitude, colleagues find it easy to approach you.

What do you bring?

  • At least 3 years of experience as a management assistant, secretary, or in a comparable role.
  • A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO level or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with support systems and common Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
  • A structured and organized working style.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in Dutch and English.

What you'll get in return

Challenging and varied work with a real impact. And plenty of opportunities as, at TNO, you are in charge of shaping your career. We offer a gross monthly salary between € 3,250 and € 4,250 (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33% and a flex budget (5.58% + € 180). In addition, you will be given every opportunity to develop yourself.

TNO offers optional employee benefits, enabling you to tailor your benefits package to match your personal situation. You may also expect:

  • An extremely professional, innovative working environment where colleagues are leading experts in their field.
  • The opportunity to attend courses, workshops and conferences, and to receive training and coaching based on your needs.
  • 34 days annual leave on a full-time basis.
  • We offer a comprehensive and flexible mobility plan that also includes full compensation for public transportation for commuting and business travel[OPTIONAL] or a leased car.
  • Great social events with your team and other TNO colleagues. That’s how you will get to know a lot of people really quickly.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home.
  • A good pension scheme.
