Internship in marketing/content and communication at ABN AMRO Group Economics

Then this fulltime internship at ABN AMRO’s Group Economics is exactly what you’re looking for. This internship focuses on helping ensure that analyses, insights, and publications reach clients and other stakeholders more effectively.

Our team consists of economists and data scientists who provide daily insights into economic trends and the latest moves on financial markets. We are looking for an independent intern who can help us ensure that our analyses, insights, and publications reach our clients even more effectively.

Your job

As a marketing/content intern, you will help Group Economics promote their research more smartly and professionally across all our stakeholder groups. Your tasks include:

• Contributing to the marketing and communication strategy for our department across various channels: who are the key stakeholders, and how can we increase reach, visibility, and impact?
• Uploading and publishing economic publications on external channels (such as abnamro.com/research and Prism).
• Posting and managing content on our social media channels.
• Selecting, editing, and preparing content in line with our style guidelines.
• Monitoring content performance and suggest improvements.
• Taking the lead together with our economists in translating research into clear and engaging content.

You work closely with colleagues at Group Economics, but you are also proactive in engaging other teams such as Marketing & Communications.

Your working environment

Group Economics conducts economic research for the entire bank and all its client groups. Our research is independent, but we collaborate closely with other business units. We support senior management and all customer segments by providing insights that help them make informed decisions. We prioritize based on what matters most to the bank, aiming for optimal value creation for the bank and its clients.

We are recognized as original thinkers and experts in our field and differentiate ourselves from competitors in this way. Group Economics consists of several teams, such as the macro team, sustainability team, the Netherlands team, and the financial markets team.

Your profile

You get energy from thinking about the marketing of research. You have an interest in news and economics, enjoy working with experts, and dare to think strategically about improvement opportunities. You switch easily between creative, strategic, and hands‑on tasks such as publication work. You are communicative, digitally skilled, and motivated to quickly learn new skills.

Preferably, you also have:

• You are enrolled in an HBO or WO program in marketing, communication, media, journalism.
• A good eye for publications, digital content, and design
• Experience with Google Analytics is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• An entrepreneurial and proactive mindset focused on improving visibility and impact.
• You can work independently, while keeping the team in loop.
• A pragmatic, creative, and solution‑oriented approach.
