As a Project Buyer, you are part of a customer team in which you represent procurement. Our customers operate mainly in the semiconductor and defense industries. In our international high‑tech, low‑volume, high‑mix production environment, you are the crucial link between customer requests and our suppliers. You take ownership of the procurement process from RFQ to NPI, ensuring that materials and products are available on time—while keeping a sharp eye on lead time, price, and quality.

This is what you bring to the team

  • A hands‑on, can‑do mentality
  • Strong communication skills and decisiveness, with the ability to switch quickly between different stakeholders
  • A completed bachelor’s degree (or equivalent level)
  • 3+ years of procurement experience in a production or project-driven environment
  • Affinity with or experience in a technical environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English (German is a plus)

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Supporting the sales team during the RFQ process towards our customer; your role is to obtain the right prices and conditions from both existing and new suppliers, enabling Neways to submit a competitive offer.
  • Ensuring timely availability of materials and services to deliver the first products to customers.
  • Setting up systems with pricing and parameters to guarantee a smooth handover to regular operations.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders such as sales, engineering, and quality.
  • Negotiating independently with suppliers and managing cost, lead time, quality, and risks within projects.
  • Ensuring a seamless NPI handover to the regular organization, including supplier agreements and performance monitoring.
